TRANSPORT
Unless otherwise organised during the quoting stages, your blocks will be delivered on a flat deck or curtain sider truck.
UNLOADING THE BLOCKS
Interbloc blocks weigh between 250kg and 1500kg.
Having the correct equipment on site is essential to an efficient unload. Envirocon recommends using a forklift.
You will have 30 minutes to unload the truck. Time spent in excess of 30 minutes may incur wait charges at the current hourly rate published by Envirocon - currently $185 per hour.
Unload a max two blocks at a time.
Ensure the block/s sits entirely on the forks.
Lift the block/s clear of the truck deck before reversing the equipment.
Move away from the truck deck, and once clear of the truck reduce the height of the forks maintain a low centre of gravity and ensure you have a clear line of sight.
Move the block/s to the designated laydown area and place.
Lower the forks to ensure they are clear of the block/s and reverse.
Chipping can occur during the unloading process, Envirocon will not be responsible for this.
UNLOADING WITHOUT A FORKLIFT
If you have pre organised to unload the truck one block at a time (i.e. with an excavator/hiab), ensure you have the correct lifting klaw and chain to do this. Refer below to the section on installing the blocks and equipment requirements.
Blocks must be removed one by one. Never try to lift the whole blocks by placing a strop around the base of it.
You must have the correct lifting klaw to lift the block. Using the incorrect klaw, or a lifting device from another company, will void the warranty of the lifting anchor.
The lifting klaw should be new, or recently tested and certified.
You must use a chain to connect the lifting klaw to the lifting equipment.
Unless organised in advance, the blocks should be lifted and placed in the immediate vicinity of the truck to minimise truck unloading times.
If using seconds blocks where no lifting anchor is available, you must organise a gravity scissor lifting in advance. Talk to your Envirocon Sales Representative about this option.
